Clean Mud!

Clean MudIngredients

6 rolls of cheap toilet paper
2 small bars of Ivory Soap
1 and 1/2 Cup of Borax

Directions

In a large container, unroll the six rolls of toilet paper. Add warm water until wet. Shave Ivory Soap onto wet paper and mix with hands. Pour in borax and mix. If too dry, add water

Comments

  • It is important to use Ivory Soap.  Other soaps do not work as well.

  • The Borax should be well-mixed before children come into contact with the clean mud but don't be tempted to leave it out.  Leaving out the Borax will change the consistency significantly.

  • This is an excellent and unique sensory material for the preschool classroom.
